1. Admission Requirements
1. Hold or currently studying in the last semester of a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics,
Nutrition, Biology, Public Health, Health Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Food Science or other
related fields from an accredited national or international academic institution recognized and
attested by the Higher Education Commission.
2. Receive a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50
3. Have one of the English Proficiency Test scores that meets the English proficiency requirement
for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
4. Applicants may be exempted from the above requirement, on a case by case basis, depending
upon approval and consent given by the Program Committee and the Dean of the Graduate
Studies, Mahidol University

8. Job Option after Graduation
- Dietitian / nutritionist in hospital , health institute, food service industry, health and fitness centers, food and nutrition-related industries, or relevant government ministries - Researcher in an academic institution, research facility, food industry, or hospital - Consultants to public and private agencies, international agencies, research projects, health promotion units, and food and nutrition-related industries - Freelance, food and nutrition-related or health food business owner
9. Additional Information
Admission examination includes written examination and interview examination.
- The written examination consists of two parts of three-hour duration and total marks are 100.
- Part 1 (Nutrition and dietetics)
- contains 50 multiple choice questions in basic knowledge in nutrition and dietetics. Each question has one best response out of five alternatives. Each question carries one mark.
- 1 short answer question (5 bonus marks). The answers must be written in English.
- Part 2 (Physiology and Biochemistry)
- contains 50 multiple choice questions in fundamental knowledge in physiology and biochemistry. Each question has one best response out of five alternatives. Each question carries one mark.
Only for those who obtain at least 50% marks will be qualified for Interview Examination.
Interview Examination
- Applicants are required to submit an A4 page of the statement of purpose to study including reasons to study, research of interest and future plan after graduation. The document must be submitted via email (wantanee.krieng@mahidol.ac.th) at least one day prior to the interview schedule.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to be considered for studying in this program.
10. Details of Scholarship
Partial Scholarship are available for the qualified international and Thai students on a competitive basis as follow:
- Mahidol Postgraduate Scholarship for International Graduate Students:
Up to 10 x Partial Scholarship Type 4 (cover academic activities fee, health insurance fee, 50% tuition fee and up to 90% of research supplies fee)
- Partial Scholarship for Thai Graduate Students (ทุนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 60 ปี ครองราชสมบัติ สำหรับนักศึกษาไทย ประเภทที่ 4 จำนวน 2 ทุน) โดยไม่ต้องจ่ายค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษา และได้ลดค่าหน่วยกิตลง 50 %
Applicants seeking for scholarship must receive a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.25 on a 4-point grading system or equivalent and have one of the English Proficiency Test scores that meets the requirement (IELTS at least 5.0 or TOEFL-iBT at least 54 or TOEFL-ITP at least 480 or MU GRAD TEST at least 60)
