Admission Requirements

Plan 1 Research only 
Plan 1.1 For students with Master's degree Applicants must: 
1. Holding a Master's degree or equivalent in demography/population studies or other related fields
2. Having cumulative GPA not less than 3.50
3. Having an English proficiency examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
4. Other requirements shall follow those that specified by the Faculty of Graduate Studies 5. Having published at least one research work in applied demography and social research/population studies or related fields in a peer-reviewed journal within 5 years
6. Having been accepted by IPSR faculty member as a major advisor
7. Qualifications different from 2. - 4. may be considered by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Plan 2 Course work and research Plan 2.1 For students with Master's Degree Applicants must: 1. Holding a Master's degree or equivalent in demography/population studies or other related fields
2. If the applicants who have no demography/population studies background are admitted, they are required to pass basic demographic courses for a total of 6 credits without credit count
3. Having cumulative GPA not less than 3.50
4. Having an English proficiency examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
5. Other requirements shall follow those that specified by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. 6. Qualifications different from 3. - 5. may be considered by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
