The program is research oriented program with the special emphasis on surface science, advanced materials, composites engineering materials, nano-materials, biological materials, corrosion and molecular engineering.

Admission Requirements

Plan 1
1. Holding a M.Sc. degree in science or engineering or other related field having cumulative GPA not less than 3.50 
2. Have and English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of Faculty of Graduate Studies
3. Have research experience and have to be in the program that Mahidol University have the memorandum of understanding (MOU) 
with the applicant's university or institute

Plan 2
1. Holding a B.Sc. degree in science or engineering or other related field having cumulative GPA not less than 3.50 or
2. Holding a M.Sc. degree in materials science and engineering or science or engineering or other related field having cumulative GPA 
not less than 3.50 
3. Have and English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of Faculty of Graduate Studies
4. Other exceptions may be considered by the Program Director and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
