Mahidol University's ground breaking
new double doctoral degree with Chiba University, Japan. |

 Chiba University, Japan, and Mahidol University, Thailand, announced the establishment of a long-term collaboration to offer a double doctoral degree program in biotechnology. Students in this program will receive a Double Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology from Chiba University and Mahidol University.
 Dr. Michiko Takagaki, Director of International Relations, Graduate School of Horticulture of Chiba University and Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Prof. Skorn Mongkolsuk, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the collaboration of the International double doctoral degree program in biotechnology. The signing ceremony was held on 03 March 2009, at Room K101, Chalermprakiet Building, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University.
 Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies said 'This is the first international double doctoral degree program of the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University with a university from Japan. We hope that the International Double Degree Program, in collaboration with a foreign university will be further developed in the future.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanyarat Supaibulwatana, the Deputy Dean for Public
Relations and Corporate Social Communication of the Faculty of Graduate
Studies said 'This program will create opportunities to exchange experience,
good practice and knowledge, with materials such as teleconferencing
to support students.'
