          The Faculty of Graduate Studies requires graduate students who have not passed the English Proficiency Examination to meet the standards of the Faculty of Graduate Studies by either taking English courses or passing the English Proficiency Examination, in order to be qualified  for graduation.
The first English Proficiency Examination scheduled, for the academic year 2012/2013, for graduate students and the public, is as follows:
 
  1 Applicant qualifications
            Applicants can be graduate students of Mahidol University who have not passed the English Examination. Applicants can also be members of the public.
 
  2 Application day

   • Monday, June 25, 2012 – Sunday, July 8, 2012

   • Applicants must :

  1. Apply through the internet  at MU-Test and complete the registration form, checking it carefully before submission (graduate students and the public can only apply once.
  2. Print the invoice and make payment at a bank counter.
(Please pay the invoice by Monday, July 9, 2012. If overdue, the application cannot be accepted. If the applicants do not pay the correct amount they will not be refunded in any case. The invoice will be void and applicants will have to pay again.)


  3 Examination date and time
         Saturday,  July 21, 2012  :  9.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.
 
  4 Announcement day
          Wednesday,  August 1, 2012 at www.grad.mahidol.ac.th
 
  5 Application Documents Upload
 

1.    Two 1-inch recent photos (less than 2 MB, and must be one of the following file types - .jpg, .jpeg)
2.    A signed copy of a student card or identification card (thea copy must
       be clear and less than 2 MB, and must be one of the following file types -  .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .pdf)

  6 Application fee
 
  1. Master’s degree, Graduate Diploma, Higher Graduate Diploma students and public pay 200 baht.
  2. Doctoral degree

2.1 Doctoral level students must take the TOEFL-ITP test and pay 1,000 baht.
2.2 Those who apply to study a Doctoral degree pay 1,000 baht.

  7 Examination Location
             The location of the examination will be announced on Wednesday,  July 18, 2012  on the Faculty of Graduate Studies’ website:    www.grad.mahidol.ac.th.   Students should check the examination location by themselves.
 
  8 Examination regulations
  The applicants must :
 
  1. Not bring any bags, communication devices, or valuables to the room, except the test registration form and the student card or identification card.
  2. Not record or take a photo of the exam by using any cameras, tape recorders, or communication devices
  3. Use at least a 2B pencil to do an examination.
  4. Be on time. Those who are more than 30 minutes late will not be allowed to take the examination under any circumstances (Please note that those who take an exam for a Doctoral degree MUST be on time).
  5. Dress politely. The applicants should wear warm clothes because the room is air-conditioned. Moreover, the applicants must not wear sandals or flip-flops.
  6. Not take the test registration form on the desk out of the testing room.

If the students do not follow the above regulations, their answer sheet will not be checked and they are not allowed to re-take the test within 1 year since the test date.
