Graduate Studies would like
to congratulate to two students on receiving awards
for research dissemination. The first one is Ms. Panida
Kamya, graduate student of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj
Hospital in Master of Science Programme in Immunology.
Ms. Kamya won The Novartis Travel Award/Grant 2008 at
the "International Thalassaemia Conference 2008"
due to her poster presentation of "Oxidative stress
in micro particles and in peripheral blood cells of
? thalasseamia/ HbE patients" was shown on the
conference held on 8-10 October 2008 in Singapore, organized
by Thalassaemia Society (Singapore), in collaboration
with the thalassaemia International Federation (TIE)
and KK Women's and Children's Hospital Singapore
The other one is Mrs. Benyapat
Puripunpinyo, Graduate student of Institute of Molecular
Biology and Genetics in Master of Science Programme
in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering. Mrs Puripunpinyo
received the best award for oral presentation at the
20th Annual Meeting and International Conference of
the Thai Society for Biotechnology "TSB 2008: Biotechnology
for Global Care". The conference was co-organized
by department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Technology,
Mahasarakham University, Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham
University and Thai society for Biotechnology. She presented
her poster on the topic: Hydrophobicity in the Care
of Receptor-Binding Domain Critical for Toxicity of
the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry4Ba Toxin.
