Experiencing Thai Culture Trip 1 (For International Students)

Bang Kradee Mon Community,
District of Bang Khun Thian, Bangkok



Sunday August 30th, 2009
8:00-8:30 am Register at the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Salaya Campus.
8:30-9:30 am

Leave for Bang Kradee Mon Community (breakfast served on board).

10:00 am Reach the destination.
10:00 am-5:00 pm Begin a walking trip to places in the community includes;
- Traditional Thai sweets production
- Mon-styled monastery and architecture
- Mon museum and cultural activities
- Mon delicacies for lunch (Thai food included)
- Traditional (sustainable) shrimp farming and many more.
5:00 - 5:30 pm Return to Mahidol University.

Proposed Conditions of Participation

1. This program is exlusive for students of other nationalities. (สำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติเท่านั้น)

2. Deadline of application is Wednesday 26th August (office hour). Online registration is available on the Faculty of Graduate Studies' website. No late application is accepted.

3. Applicants are required to pay 100 baht for the trip. The payment must be made within 26th August (office hour) at the branches of the Faculty of Graduate Studies as follows;

4. Regarding dress code, informal attire is acceptable, but no miniskirts, spaghetti straps and shorts. Traditional attire is also encouraged. Please use common sense and consideration. Due to the afternoon heat, bringing a hat and shade umbrella is strongly recommended.

5. Applicants have to comply with all of these conditions to join the program.
