of Mahidol University's Name |

commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowment of the Name
"Mahidol University" and the 121st Anniversary since the
University's inception in 1888 as the first medical school in Thailand,
Mahidol University has been hosting numerous events and activities
to celebrate the occasion this year such as "Mahidol University
Education Fair 2009: Mahidol Wichakarn 2009", special televised
program on NBT, and a religious ceremony to honor the namesake of
the University, H.R.H. Prince Mahidol. In addition, the University
adopted a special logo for the occasion, designed by LOGO Contest
Design Winner, Mr. Kanan Timtead. With this logo and a vision to become
a world class university, Mahidol University has a bright future,
but also a legacy deserving of reflection.
