Seminar on "Informed Consent" |
|
|
The Faculty of Graduate Studies values academic research and has a policy to enhance the quality of our graduate students' research in order to meet international standards which will lead to research publication in both nationally and internationally recognized journals. Therefore, the students should have a good understanding of ethics in human research and knowledge of the protection of human subjects.
Thus, before submitting their research proposals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), every graduate student, enrolling from academic year 2008 and intending to conduct research involving humans, is required to attend the seminar on "Ethics of Research Involving Human Subjects" held by the Faculty of Graduate Studies or to register for specific courses related human research. Since there are many international students currently attending Faculty programs, we would like to hold a seminar on the topic of "Informed Consent" for our international students. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 from 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. at the conference room, Room 408, 4th Floor, the Faculty of Graduate Studies (Salaya). All international graduate students are welcome to attend without any registration fees.
Accordingly, the Faculty of Graduate Studies would like your faculty or institute to inform the students or lecturers. If anyone wants to participate in this seminar, please fill in the application form and return it to the Office of Research and Academic Services, Faculty of Graduate Studies by Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 by mailing it to the address on the back of the form or by sending it via fax number 0-2441-9446. This seminar is limited to 150 participants. If our quota has been filled before the submission deadline, we will not accept any more applications.
Please be informed and notify all students and staff in your faculty.
