The authors can self-determine which area their presentation topic best fits. "Best Paper" and "Best Poster" presentation awards are provided in each area.
Generally, there are two types of presentation formats:
1. |
Paper presentation. Individual papers are thematically organized into a session of 7 or 8 presentations. Presenters generally are allotted 8-12 minutes to describe their research projects. A/V equipment is available for presentations. |
2. |
Poster presentation. Presenters display the essential information from their research projects on a 90 cm x 120 cm poster which is displayed on a large, portable display board (100 cm width x 200 cm length, mounting tape will be provided). All posters will be displayed simultaneously. Poster sessions enable interaction between the researcher and conference participants. No A/V equipment is available for poster presentations. |
Presentation Preference
Authors may select from three presentation formats when submitting an abstract: "paper presentation," "poster only," or "no preference." The "paper presentation" selection indicates that you would like an oral presentation session, but will accept a poster format if necessary. Marking "poster only" indicates that you would not like to be considered for an oral presentation session. Selecting "no preference" indicates the author's willingness to be placed in the best format for the program.
