1. Admission Requirements
The applicants must designate only one prospective plan upon application.
Plan 1.1 (Research only)
1. Hold an MA in Applied Linguistics or related fields of study, or be a student in the final semester with a good academic record;
2. Have a composite GPA of 3.50, or equivalent;
3. Have a minimum 2 years of working experience in the related fields, and a minimum of 2 publications written in English in journals or proceedings in international conferences;
4. Submit a PhD proposal and been approved by the program committee;
5. Pass an English proficiency requirement set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Plan 2.1 (Coursework and Research)
1. Hold an MA in Applied Linguistics or related fields of study, or be a student in the final semester with a good academic record;
2. Have a composite GPA of 3.50, or equivalent;
3. Submit a PhD proposal and been approved by the program committee;
4. Pass an English proficiency requirement set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Plan 2.2 (Coursework and Research)
1. Hold an BA in Linguistics or related fields of study, or be a student in the final semester with a good academic record;
2. Have a composite GPA of 3.50, or a second class honor or upper;
3. Submit a PhD proposal and been approved by the program committee;
4. Pass an English proficiency requirement set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

3. Required Documents
All documents must be scanned with a scanner machine into PDF format (maximum size 2 MB). Except a photo must be in JPEG format.
- English proficiency score certificate
- Degree certificate / Letter certifying that the applicant is in the final year waiting for graduation
- Academic transcript / Grade report
