1. Admission Requirements
A candidate must:
Study Plan 1 : Ph.D. by research only
1. Hold Master's degree in Medical Technology, health Science or other related discipline with a minimum GPA 3.50
2. Pass the English Proficiency requirement announced by FGS
- IELTS - at least 5 or
- TOEFL INTERNET BASED - at least 61 or
- TOEFL ITP (test arranged by Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University) - at least 500
3. Have at least 1 original research publication or academic work in peer reviewed international journal.
4. Exemption from the above conditions may be granted by the Program Committee under exceptional circumstances.
Study Plan 2 : Ph.D. by course work and research
1. Hold Master's degree in medical technology, health science or other related discipline with a minimum GPA 3.50 or
2. Hold Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or other related discipline with honor or with a minimum GPA 3.50
3. Pass the English Proficiency requirement announced by FGS

ผู้เข้าศึกษาในหลักสูตรปรัชญาดุษฎีบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาเทคนิคการแพทย์ เมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาแล้ว สามารถ ประกอบอาชีพต่างๆ ในองค์กรภาครัฐ และเอกชน ทั้งในและต่างประเทศได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยสามารถเป็นอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัย นักวิจัย นักวิชาการ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางเทคนิคการแพทย์ ผู้บริหาร ระดับสูง ในมหาวิทยาลัย สถาบันการศึกษา สถาบันวิจัย โรงพยาบาล ห้องปฏิบัติการเวชศาสตร์ชันสูตร หน่วยงานต่างๆ เป็นผู้ประกอบการอิสระ ในธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงานเทคนิคการแพทย์ และวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีอื่นๆ หรือเป็นนักวิจัย ในองค์กรภาคธุรกิจอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ หรือ/เอกชน ที่สร้างสรรค์ นวัตกรรม ผลิตเทคโนโลยี เครื่องมือ/ภาครัฐอุตสาหกรรม/อื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง รวมถึงสามารถเป็นนักวิชาการ ซึ่งปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับทีมสร้างเสริมสุขภาวะให้แก่ชุมชน

Summary:
The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Medical Technology of the Faculty of Medical Technology provides advanced courses and researches in a broad range of disciplines in medical technology and related sciences. The Faculty collaborates with leading universities and institutions both nationally and internationally. Almost all of the students have the opportunity to take some course works or part of their researches at oversea collaborating institutions.
The Doctor of Philosophy aims to encourage the student's ability in seeking their own ways of learning and researching for the innovations. The program provokes into an active learning process of the students via goal oriented activities, problem solving, individual experience sharing and searching for new information via information technology. Research and publication on the thesis work in an international standard journal are also included.
Objectives
The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Medical Technology is the international program that emphasizes learning and researching for the innovations. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, relationships, confidence, expertise, critical thinking and analytical capacity essential to finding and implementing innovative solutions that adds meaningful knowledge to the field of study, contribute to the as well as lead to sustainable development of the country and better health outcomes. Our Ph.D program in Medical Technology covers the multi-disciplinary field of medical technology, radiological technology professions, human health, disease treatment, health informatics, advanced technology and other related fields.
The graduates of the program will be able to:
- follow advancement of academic and technology, explain advance knowledge involving medical technology and related fields, develop life-long learning
- creatively develop systemic and critical thinking, integrate and apply knowledge to solve complicated problems in order to improve medical technology profession and other related disciplines
- develop research problem, present research project and conduct all involving research works to solve problem, improve work quality, achieve better work performance, and develop new knowledge and innovation
- apply effective information technology skill and effective skill in dissemination and communication to exchange and sharing their academic/research findings or evidences using English to public in both national and international level
- demonstrate morals and ethics in academic, research, and profession and contribute to social responsibility
- attain leadership and can work as team
- demonstrate idea and principle of entrepreneurship including innovation management
Study Mode: Full time
Duration: 3 academic years for a candidate holding a Master's degree
3-5 academic years for a candidate holding a Bachelor's degree
