ABSTRACT
This research is on the economic preparation for the retirement of private company officers by studying the relations and aspects, which have an influence on economic preparation, including financial preparation, preparation of knowledge and understanding of personal financial management and housing preparation. Economic preparation is consistent within the 50 to 59 year-old population who work for the over-100-million registered companies. The data was collected from 58 sampling companies during 1 February 2004 – 30 September 2005 by using surveys as a tool. The number of final collected data was 173. For the co-relation study, the data were analyzed through Frequency, Standard Deviation, Chi-Square and Multiple Regression Analysis was used for analyzing aspects. Regarding the research, the sampling group was mostly economically wellprepared. The sampling is well prepared on living place as the first aspect. However on financial preparation, the preparation of concerned knowledge of personal financial management, the samples needed to be educated as the sample paid less attention to this. The preparation was somehow more important compared to other aspects. The 95-percent-confidence aspects that have influenced on economic preparation are age, doing exercise, years of education, years of working and company status. Moreover, 80 percent of the sample group thinks that they are economically preparing for their retirement. Somehow, only 50 percent thinks that the preparation is sufficient. Recommendation from the research is to educate the people, not only those who are nearly retired, but everyone should be more concerning so that they have knowledge of financial management, including savings in order to standardize and be economically prepared for the current economic situation. In addition, the government should set a suitable provident fund program by using the correct collective data, which will be useful and helpful for retired people.
