Subject Regulations of Thesis Publishing for Graduation in a Master's Degree Program B.E.2549

As stated in the Academic Regulations of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, B.E. 2549, a Master's degree student who studies in both plan A(1) (doing a thesis) and plan A(2) (doing a thesis and study coursework), starting from the academic year 2549, must publish his/her thesis according to the reguirements for graduation in a Master's degree program, Mahidol University as follows:
   
1. A Master's degree student plan A(1)
The thesis or a part of thesis is published or accepted for publication in a journal which has a peer review or is presented in an academic conference which has a peer review and proceedings.

2. A Master's degree student plan A(2)
The thesis or a part of thesis is published or accepted for publication in a journal or an academic printed matter which has a peer review or is presented in an academic conference which has a peer review and proceedings.

The type of journal or printed matter and type of academic conference considered suitable by the Master's degree student plan A is set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies as follows:

  1.  Journal or Printed matter
A journal or printed matter publishing a student's thesis or a part of a thesis must be one that is accepted in a student's field of study and has an article assessment system.

A student must submit the published document or letter of acceptance from a journal or printed matter, and 2 copies of the article to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for graduation, and an additional 2 reprinted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies when publishing in a journal.
  2.  Academic Conference
     
  To be acceptable, an academic conference where a student will present his/her thesis or a part of thesis must conform to the following.
2.1 A conference must be managed by a unit which is at least a faculty or, if it is an academic conference in a particular field of study, it must be managed by many units, not by only one of the departments or programs.
2.2 In a conference mentioned in items 2.1 there must have proceedings and a students must also publish the thesis or part of thesis in the proceedings.

A student must submit 2 copies of a reprint that is published in the proceedings to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for graduation.

These requirements are applicable to the Master's degree students who study from the academic year 2549.
