Admission Requirements

For Plan A(2): An applicant is required to have:
1. Holding a Medical degree (M.D. or M.B.B.S. or equivalent degrees) with cumulative GPA not less than 3.0 and be a qualified 
registered medical practitioner who practices for more than 3 years, with recommendation and confirmation documents, or
2. Graduated in Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (D.T.M.&H.) or other equivalent diploma degrees within 5 years, and 
3. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as required by Faculty of Graduate Studies

For Plan B: An applicant is required to have:
1. Holding a Medical degree (M.D. or M.B.B.S. or equivalent degrees) with cumulative GPA not less than 2.7 and be a qualified 
registered medical practitioner who practices for more than 1 year, with recommendation and confirmation documents, or
2. Graduated in Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (D.T.M.&H.) or other equivalent diploma degrees within 5 years, and
3. Have an English Proficiency Examination score as required by Faculty of Graduate Studies

Job option after graduation


- Medical doctors with in-depth knowledge in tropical medicine, both in theory and practice, working in hospitals, travel clinics, medical and organisations, both in government and public sectors
- General physicians with tropical medicine expertise, who can be community leaders, consultants or policy makers for prevention of tropical diseases in communities, national, region or worldwide
- General physicians with the expertise in clinical research especially in tropical medicine
