Additional advantages of the programme

The Doctor of Philosophy programme in Nursing at Mahidol University is a collaborative programme between the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital , The Faculty of Nursing, and foreign universities in the U.S. ,Canada and Australia. Students have a chance to study in collaborating institutions for one year.

Admission Requirements

Plan 1 Research only 
Plan 1.1 For Students with Master's Degree 
1) Hold a Master's degree in nursing or related discipline with bachelor degree in nursing from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand. The accreditation must be also obtained from Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council for Thai nursing institutes
2) Have experience in conducting research and have at least 1 international or national publication, which is not part of the study for degree certificate, in a peer-reviewed journal as first author or corresponding author
3) Currently hold a national license for registered nurse issued by Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council or nursing regulatory authority in her/his country
4) Have cumulative GPA not less than 3.50 (on basis of 4.00 scale)
5) Have an English Proficiency Examination score as the requirement of Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University
6) Applicant who does not meet the requirements in items 4) and 5) may be considered by the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Plan 2 Course work and research Plan 2.1 For Students with Master's Degree 1) Hold a Master's degree in nursing or related discipline with bachelor degree in nursing from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand.
