Admission Requirements

Plan 1 Research only (For Student's with Master degree's) Applicants must: 
1. Holding a Master's degree in demography/population studies from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission
2. Having cumulative GPA not less than 3.5
3. Having published at least one research work in applied demography and social research/population studies or related fields in a peer-reviewed journal within 5 years
4. Having been accepted by IPSR faculty member as a major advisor
5. Having an English proficiency examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
6. Other exceptions may be considered by the Program Director and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies case by case. Plan 2 Course work and research (For Student's with Master degree's) Applicants must: 1. Holding a Master's degree in demography/population studies or other fields from academic institutes accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission
2. If the applicants who have no demography/population studies background are admitted, they are required to pass basic demographic courses for a total of 6 credits without credit count
3. Having cumulative GPA not less than 3.5
4. Having an English proficiency examination score as the requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
5. Other exceptions may be considered by the Program Director and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
