Additional advantages of the programme
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a professional career in Pathobilogical science.
Emphasis is on the basic principles and concepts of cell injury, particularly at the cellular and
subcellular levels, in addition to changes at tissue level and the pathogenesis of several disease
processes e.g.
Parasitic infections, toxic agents and carcinogens. After completion of the programme, graduate
students will be able to carry out their own research as well as teach in a medical school.
