On September 2nd, 2017, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, held an International Student Orientation for Academic Year 2017 at Meeting Room 322, Mahidol Learning Center, Salaya Campus. On this occasion, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit, M.D., gave a brief opening remark to Acting Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Assoc. Prof. Preecha Soontranan, M.D. and welcomed new international students to the orientation. The activities included:

- The introduction of the Faculty of Graduate Studies administrative boards by Prof. Dr. Patcharee Lertrit, M.D.
- Voice performance in the honor of His royal name "Mahidol" university by a College of Music choir, Mahidol University
- The introduction of information technology by Assistant Dean for International Affairs Dr. Aung Win Tun
- The introduction of dissertation plan and English development by Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Varaporn Akkarapatumwong
- The introduction of student welfare, benefits and soft skills activities by Deputy Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Chatchai Kunavisarut
Mahidol University Graduate Student Council and Student Association furthered the activities during the orientation. Faculty of Graduate Studies administrative board and other Mahidol University faculties also attended and welcomed 170 international students on this occasion.
